Sidsel Lehn Mehlsen: The Internet is a Meadow

Circulating within cinema and digital culture, the images of witches are many. Seeking out disparities between their historic and fictitious renderings, ‘The Internet is a Meadow’ explores how cultural memory is shaped by examing the (re)production of images, as well as institutional dynamics of archival inclusion and exclusion. In an attempt at recuperating historiographic discrepancies, old and new images are weaved together in order to reconsider ‘the witch’ within our current social, political and cultural landscape.
