‘Is this your first time in Batman?’ marks the second step and publication of Low-Budget Projects —a collection of vulnerable stories shared in the vibrant nightlife of Athens and beyond. It features practices of resilience by Athens-based cultural workers—Agape Harmani, Paky Vlassopoulou, David Bergé, Anastasia Diavasti, Ash Bulayev, Myrto Katsimicha, and undercurrent—addressing various individual, interpersonal, institutional, economic, and political crises.

Low-Budget Projects is a project by Gizem Üstüner committed to defying precarious labor and its isolating impact in the art and cultural field. It challenges systemic inequalities and addresses the root causes of socio-economic disparities through and within art practices, building a growing network of solidarity and cross-border collaborations.
