Sung Hwan Kim: Ua a‘o ‘ia ‘o ia e ia

Ua a’o ‘ia ‘o ia e ia centers on the multi-research series * Pyohaerok * , which artist Kim Sung-hwan began in 2017 and is still ongoing . Using books as a medium, it deepens and expands upon the multi-layered and complex issues concerning knowledge—such as boundaries , tradition , records , history , the flow and possession of knowledge , and distribution—that were organized through previous exhibitions . 『 Ua a’o 』 is both an artistic space and a work that constructs new connections by intertwining the artist’s expanded artistic thought through the medium of the exhibition with the events that occurred during that journey This book is published in conjunction with Sung Hwan Kim’s solo exhibition, Ua aʻo ʻia ʻo ia e ia (Seoul Museum of Art, December 19, 2024–March 30, 2025)
