BYOB: Because an Original is a Copy

bring your own book is a collective that started as an initiative at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2021. Together they organise interdisciplinary events, workshops and book fairs around the notions of self-publishing. The act of publishing is central to their process, guiding their work and forming the core of all they produce.
They have previously collaborated with institutions and platforms like bookboy HfG Karlsruhe, abC – Art Book in China, Covercrop, the Outline platform, Interlude, Snacks Amsterdam, and ENTER ENTER among others.

This publication contains all printed works that were taken down from the walls of W139 after the exhibition in September 2023.
