Lena Karson: Rehearsal for a Conflict

Published by Scriptings in 2022, this publication is the outcome of a two-day workshop I held. In it, you will find descriptions of performances the participants shared. These performances sprung out of sentences that recalled a conflict of theirs, almost as translations. You will also find their testimonies on their experiences, namely about how word and image interacted partly in opposition, as well as together, in the expression of a conflict. The telling about a conflict through body, image, and/or space opens another way of communicating, one that is based on no predetermined code. Other participants, temporarily the audience of the performer in question, thus start to listen differently.
