Emmanuelle Antille: The Wonder Way Project

In 2019, Emmanuelle Antille decided to make a film about the process of creation. A film resembling a quest: a quest for worlds within this world – parallel, different spaces. To understand why they were created, by whom, and how they can transform and inspire us. Can we reinvent the spaces we move through? Are there other forms of territory? How do we create a universe of our own? Can we still reveal or imagine new territories in our hyper-connected world which is oversaturated with images and representations of elsewhere? This project and the proposal for a parallel cartography were inspired by these questions. Created alongside the film and an exhibition, this book presents previously unpublished portfolios of the artists who took part in the exhibitions. Designed as a tool for research and discovery, featuring exclusive documents, photographs and behind-the-scenes footage, it serves as a record of this endeavour, recounting its history and ramifications.
