Howardena Pindell: Rope/Fire/Water

Howardena Pindell is one of the most interesting yet to be widely discovered figures in the US art world. She is an artist, curator, critic, activist and educator, founding member of A.I.R. gallery, first black woman curator at the MoMA, professor and innovative artist in abstract painting.
