Wednesday March 20, 8pmPlease join us on Wednesday March 20th for the book launch of ‘CANCELLED’, a book by Marlie Mul that addresses her public cancellation of a solo exhibition due to impassable working circumstances, that had been planned to open in May 2017 at the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) in Glasgow, Scotland.
Designed by Maximage, the book brings together photographs of the cancellation’s billboards, and texts by Marlie Mul, Linda Stupart and Georgia Horgan.

Marlie Mul is an artist who also works as an educator. Her art work takes place somewhere in between sculpture, painting, distribution, writing, graphics, experiments in branding, the social, and the virtual. She has participated in exhibitions at amongst others the 2019 Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts; 49 Nord 6 Est–FRAC Lorraine, Metz; Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna; Kunsthalle Bern; Fridericianum, Kassel; 9th Berlin Biennial; 2014 Taipei Biennial; Swiss institute, New York; ICA, London; Sculpture Centre, New York; and Ballroom Marfa, Texas. Marlie Mul teaches in the MFA WorkMaster at HEAD (Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design) in Geneva.
