Cincin towel-calendar is an initiative of Elena Braida and Francesca Lucchitta who grew up seeing the object of the towel-calendar appear at their Italian grandparents’ houses at the beginning of each new year. During the lockdown in 2020, their shared interests in local traditions led them to find a way to make a connection between their home country and Amsterdam.
Every year new collaborators are invited to re-imagine the coming year’s towel-calendar. For the 2023 edition, Miquel Hervás Gómez and Ott Metusala from the Book Binding workshop at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, designed a screen-printed cutting board-calendar-kitchen towel, in collaboration with Cincin.
The CCC x BBB towel-calendar 2023 is a homie logbook to wipe all delicate surfaces without losing your appointments. The cloth is completed with an edgy and personalised screen-printed label.
