Image RIP, the first publication from Source Type, is centered around New York graphic designer Geoff Han’s investigation into the Shenzen-based printer Artron and explores production, work, and the environment in the precarious, post-industrial economy. The book gathers essays by Danielle Aubert, David Bennewith, Geoff Han, Ming Lin, Shanzhai Lyric, David Reinfurt, Mindy Seu, and Dena Yago, and features images by Ann Woo.
Geoff Han is a New York–based independent graphic designer and educator working in the cultural field. He has worked with Nobuyoshi Araki, common room, Daido Moriyama, New Art Dealers Alliance, PIN-UP, Ran Dian, Rockbund Art Museum, SANAA, and SO–IL and has taught at A School, A Park, Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Werkplaats Typografie and Yale University.
