COLLABORATIVE REVISIONS: RESHAPING UNIVERSAL RIGHTS by Elisa Piazzi and Inna Kochkina
a collective script writing workshop by artists Elisa Piazzi and Inna Kochkina
Wednesday May 7, 6pmUsing pre-collected text fragments—comprising reflections, notes, and questions on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights—participants will cut, rearrange, and recompose its language.
This workshop approaches scriptwriting as a radical, collective practice. Together, we will co-create a script that does not seek a singular truth, but instead embraces plurality, contested meanings, and voices often excluded from dominant narratives.
No previous experience is required—just curiosity, willingness to experiment, and interest in language, writing, and rights. All materials will be provided. The workshop will be held in English, but contributions in all languages are welcome.
The final script will later be adapted into a performance in collaboration with artist Antrianna Moutoula.
This workshop is part of Elisa and Inna’s ongoing research into the notion of universality and the socio-political impact of language in the context of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
